A Venue with history
Its four acres of gardens, shaped and safeguarded across generations, have welcomed visitors for over 85 years under the National Gardens Scheme—an enduring expression of British horticultural craft. Long lawns catch the late-afternoon light, climbing roses soften warm red sandstone, and generous borders bloom with colour at the height of summer.
Beyond the gardens lies 200 acres of family farmland, framing the house in uninterrupted countryside views. With its romantic turrets and quietly commanding presence, The Citadel offers the kind of backdrop photographers adore and couples remember forever.
