A wedding day moves quickly. The atmosphere around it doesn't have to.
When you stay within the house & gardens, the logistics soften. Preparations happen upstairs. The marquee stands beside the house. Supper ends a short walk from your bedroom door.
No departing convoy. No late night taxis. Just one house. One setting. One weekend-long celebration.

Situated in the central turret, The Round Room becomes your private suite and dedicated preparation space.
Tall windows draw in soft morning light from across Hawkstone Park. A king-size bed anchors the room, while a hidden door leads to an adjoining bathroom with a freestanding claw-foot bath.
It is calm, considered, and removed from the pace below.
A space to dress, gather yourself, and savour the hours before you walk downstairs.

THE GUEST BEDROOMS
Two beautifully proportioned guest bedrooms sleep up to four of your closest family or friends, with an additional smaller twin room offering accommodation for two more.
Most of the beds may be arranged as doubles or twins to suit your guests. All bedrooms enjoy their own en-suite.
Each room faces either the gardens or the Shropshire hills beyond and is quiet, comfortable, and entirely within the house and gardens.

Throughout your stay, the heart of The Citadel remains open to you. The West Lounge, with its wood-burning stove and piano. The Billiard Room, centred around a full-size table. The Regency dining room, where breakfast is served beneath high ceilings and tall sash windows.
On the wedding morning, these rooms become spaces of preparation and connection. Final fittings. Shared coffee. A quiet moment before guests arrive.
It feels less like booking accommodation.

Yes. There’s complete flexibility for you and your overnight guests to come and go as needed. No rigid schedules, just a relaxed, at-home feel. General wedding guests are not permitted in the House if they are not staying in the on-site accommodation.
